I just invested $75 in Will Terry's Photoshop Power Day earlier this week and I can't get enough of it! Five GREAT illustrators are giving their tips and tricks, things that they use regularly in creating their work. So definitely check it out if you are a beginner - intermediate Photoshop user. It's currently 25% off, the price jumps Nov.1
Here's a piece I just worked on this afternoon after watching Jake Parker's instruction earlier this week...
I started by scanning in a old sketch from a few years ago...
Then followed Jake's steps and within a couple hours, voila!
Thank you Mr. Jake Parker and Will Terry!

I LOVE how the color version really enhances your style! I haven't taken the plunge with digital yet. Can you tell us what equipment you have, or think a person would need, to use this course effectively?
ReplyDeleteThanks Joanne.
DeleteSure! The course is completely about Photoshop. So that is a must. And a drawing tablet, though not required is close to essential. One can use a mouse to use Photoshop, but to be able to get serious about drawing and painting digitally, some sort of tablet is needed.
(Note re. Photoshop. - I use the CS5 version and a few of the illustrators on the videos use CS5 as well. It's an older version. You can also purchase a monthly subscription to Photoshop on Adobe's website. There is also a free one month trial version available)
I purchased a used Wacom Intuos 3 tablet years ago and it's been great. Now I'm sure there are great deals on newer versions of the Intuos. Of course any digital Illustrator covets a Cintiqu.
I hope that answers your question. :)
