Please post a comment if you are still working on your PB Dummy and let us know how you are doing!!

Just as a side note, I have taken the plunge and signed up for a new course. You may be interested so I'm going to put a plug in for Will Terry. He has created a LIVE online 5 week course on Visual Storytelling. I am super excited about it, I'm a big fan of Will and he is teaching this course with another extremely talented illustrator - Jake Parker. Find out more about these talented illustrators here.
If you are interested, you'll have to sign up fast, so go and check it out!!
Still with you! (Go team!!) ;)
ReplyDeleteYay! I'm not alone.
DeleteI've been meaning to reply to your past few posts, so thanks for encouraging us all. I had two set backs -- I got the dreaded 3 criticisms from 3 different readers of my manuscript, so I decided to rework it. I also had a few personal stumbling blocks, including the death of my mother, so it's been hard to revise and sketch on a regular basis. I've kept up with most of my creative practice though, and am once again writing and drawing as of this week. I don't think I'll meet the challenge deadline but I think I'll have a modest dummy by the end of the year. I'm continually inspired by your work and the links you've provided us with. Looks like a great workshop you're attending. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteJoy, I'm so sorry to her about your mom. Hopefully getting back to drawing brings some comfort. Good for you to take the crits and have the courage to go back and rework your story. Best of luck to you on your project!
DeleteThis has been a tough two weeks. The kids were sick and then I caught the bug. I am finally back to work today. Though I'll miss the deadline for this step, I plan to be back on track by the end. You have been a real encouragement. I look forward to hearing everyone's success stories. Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteImpressed that you still plan to make the deadline! Awesome!!
DeleteI'm still trying. Not as far along as I hoped with so many writing deadlines the past few months. I have a few full-sized sketches, but they're more at the outline stage. I'll keep working, though. Thanks for the encouragement, Lisa.
ReplyDeleteHi everybody!! I'm a little behind (and by "little" I mean "a lot" jeje), but I plan to catch up on my PBDummy this weekend :D
ReplyDeleteThanks Lisa!!
I've been bogged down with work ( drawing other people's stories) so I am "cough" sort of got left few stops back but I did get a story written - yeah!! I would not have gotten even that far without you, Lisa. Thanks :)
ReplyDeleteHi Lisa, I missed your question all these weeks ago but I am still going! Am revising my full sized sketches after having finished two double spreads and one half spread as final sample art.
