Is it possible we are already at step four??!! This is going way too fast for me. I did not have time over the past fourteen days to draw hundreds of sketches of my characters, but I think I have 'found' them. They may need a little tweaking here and there, but that's okay. We must press on, so on to storyboard text and art!
Here's the link to last year's entry on the kidlitart blog. Be sure to read the link to Tara Lazar's blog entry where she explains the construction and layout of a children's picture book, it's really interesting and helpful in clarifying why we typically make a 32 page storyboard.
Also, once again I'm going to draw on the wisdom of Lynn Chapman who was interviewed by Shoo Rayner about creating her storyboards.
Finally, for some inspiration check out the blog of illustrator Carolyn Fisher, who has posted her storyboard map (as shown) for download here. This step is also just two weeks but sets up the framework for everything that comes after, so good luck my friends!

Thanks for the links and encouragement. The time is flying by, but I think story-boarding will ultimately help with revision and character development. I have another class on Thursday at tweet time but anybody can stop by my blog and I'm on Facebook. Thanks!
