Session 6 - Two color watercolor study

Helga P has inspired me to get going on my homework for our online class How To Be A Children's Book Illustrator. So thanks Helga! Here is my homework for this week. I am going to try and keep up with Helga who is apparently very dedicated to getting her assignments done weekly.

Painting an image using only two colors was a fun exercise. I loved the process of mixing the two colors to get the color and the tone I needed.

  1. Oh Wow! Well done! I didn't know you had your own blog, otherwise I'd have been here sooner. Good for you getting stuck in, now we can keep tabs on one another, hee hee. Your mouse is so cute and I love the blues you've used. Let's keep truckin'!

  2. Thanks Helga. I haven't really advertized that I have a blog. I imagine that no one looks at it, but I thought I better start posting to keep myself accountable, and start the process of getting more use out of social media. Really I am totally following your example - blog, tweets, you are awesome!

  3. You should really talk about your blog on the Wiggio mailing list. I'd love it if we could organise some kind of small illustrator's group online just for camaraderie and motivation. It's hard sometimes to stay on track and the more people you can talk and share with, sometimes makes it a little easier.
